AI tools are transforming the way we work, offering new levels of efficiency and automation. But in fields rooted in human-centered thinking—like design, community engagement, and brand strategy—the question isn’t just “how can we use AI?” but “how do we keep people at the center?”

AI as an Amplifier, Not a Replacement

AI excels at pattern recognition and data analysis. For example, AI can quickly process user data or reveal behavior trends. But it can’t fully replicate the nuances of human experience, like cultural context or lived experience.

Empathy Requires Real Humans

Design thinking starts with listening, not just data. Human-centered work relies on empathy and observation—skills that can’t be fully outsourced to AI. Tools like ChatGPT can speed up research synthesis, but they can’t replace the experience of talking directly with people.

When to Use AI
